Summary: When we arrived at 5pm we had to check ourselves in. There were NO staff in the hotel whatsoever during the evening, and in the morning it took us 45 min to find someone who could serve coffee (she was the only staff-person we saw during the whole stay). In the room there was no kit available for us to make coffee/the. I searched the hotel during the evening in order to find the gym - which turned out to be a quite small room with a number of exercise machine cramped together - that didn't encourage me to use it in the morning. The hotel claim to have chargers for EV's - and I did find two in a garage, but have no ideas if these were for guests or for the staff (and of course I couldn't find anyone that I could ask). We have been on a 16-day trip through Germany and France - and this hotel was unfortunately the least impressive of the ones in which we have stayed.

Summary: The property is a smaller hotel, very quaint. It is situated in a residential neighborhood with a small grocery store two blocks away. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel and it is no more than 10 minutes from the city center via taxi. What took me by surprise is the size of the single occupancy rooms. They were very small compared to even the budget hotel rooms in the states. This may be typical of European lodging. I anticipate that the double and triple occupancy rooms are relatively larger but I did not have occasion to see those. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I have travelled quite extensively and I would consider the level of customer service at this hotel to be world class. The hotel restaurant was exceptional offering local fare but also recognizable options for the not so adventurous. You do need to make reservations for dinner as it is quite popular.

Summary: Some of the best service and food we had during our 1200 mile trip through Germany. Only down side was no ac during a heat wave. Self parking is limited.
